M.T.B Nagaraj: India’s richest politician and his cars

Indian politicians and cars are not something that go hand in hand. Many politicians use SUVs because they have an imposing look on the road, and the cars make them appear authoritative. However, most politicians do not have great taste when it comes to cars. Like any other case, there are exceptions. M.T.B. Nagaraj of Hosakote, near Bangalore, who is currently the state minister for small-scale industries and municipal administration, has a variety of expensive and exotic cars in his garage. He is probably the richest politician in the country with a variety of expensive and exotic cars. A video has surfaced online where the politician is seen performing Ayudha Pooja on all his cars.

The video has been shared by Lion TV Kannada on their YouTube channel. In most Indian states, people follow Navratri, and Ayudha Puja, or Weapons Puja, is conducted on the ninth day of Navratri to pay respect to the tools and weapons that one utilizes daily. In this case, the weapons are the cars as the politician uses them daily. The video shows a variety of expensive cars lined up outside the residence of M.T.B. Nagaraj. We see a current-generation Land Rover Range Rover SUV parked next to a Rolls Royce Phantom VIII.

Just next to the Phantom VIII is a bright blue-colored Ferrari F8 Tributo and a Land Rover Defender 110 SUV. Behind these vehicles are other cars like the Toyota Fortuner, a couple of Toyota Innova MPVs, and a humble Maruti Omni. He also has a Porsche Cayenne in his garage. In the video, we can see the priest performing the puja and rituals, and Nagaraj’s family can be seen sitting right in front of the vehicles behind the priest. Once the puja ritual was complete, the staff appointed by Mr. Nagaraj took all these vehicles out for a spin and returned to the residence.
