The video from an unknown location shows how three children from the same family are enjoying the sunroof and sitting on the roof of the car. It says that the father has bought a new car and is giving a joyride to his children.

Even though the car is going slowly through the roads, anything can happen in such situations as the children are sitting on the top of the car unrestrained.

The growing popularity of sunroofs in cars has led to a concerning trend that poses a threat to road safety. It has become increasingly common to see individuals, including small children, popping out of sunroofs while being driven in vehicles. Although these actions may seem adventurous or entertaining, they can result in serious dangers and hazards within a short period of time.

In recent times, there has been a significant rise in such incidents involving people dangerously protruding from sunroofs. In some cases, individuals have sustained injuries to body parts such as throats, necks, and heads due to kite strings and wires obstructing their paths. With the pleasant weather of the ongoing winter season and holidays, these instances are likely to occur even more frequently. However, to prevent negligence and promote awareness of road and public safety, the traffic police in Kolkata have been compelled to take legal action in such situations.

How to use sunroofs properly?

Just a few years ago, sunroofs were considered a luxury feature reserved for high-end cars. However, nowadays, many affordable vehicles in India are equipped with sunroofs. While sunroofs add to the visual appeal of a vehicle and allow fresh air to circulate, they also serve as a source of potential hazards.

Keeping the windows open at high speeds can cause direct airflow into your eyes, which can lead to discomfort and vision problems. Sunroofs are designed to mitigate this issue by providing airflow without disturbing the wind too much. However, it is important to note that many individuals use the sunroof as an opportunity to stand out from the vehicle, which is extremely dangerous, especially for children. Swift braking or sudden changes in motion can result in people being thrown from the sunroof. Additionally, there is a risk of debris, such as small stones from other vehicles, hitting individuals hanging out of the sunroof and causing injuries. Moreover, there is also the danger posed by electric wires that could potentially harm those protruding from the roof.
