Mahindra didn’t launch anything major this year. It showcases several new concepts, including its global pickup and Thar EV. Next year Mahindra is going to launch several cars and that sequence will be started by the Bolero Neo Plus. The Bolero Neo Plus is expected to be the first new SUV launch for Mahindra in 2024. What do we know so far?
In September, Mahindra launched the Bolero Neo Plus ambulance at a starting price of Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Now, Mahindra is expected to launch its regular version. The regular version will come with side-facing jump seats in the third row, giving it a 9-seater layout. Exterior design-wise, we don’t expect any changes on the civilian version of the Bolero Neo Plus.
2024 Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus – Specifications
The Bolero Neo Plus ambulance comes with a 2.2-litre diesel engine and we expect it to continue on the civilian version. This engine is capable of producing 118bhp and 280Nm of torque. On the Bolero Neo, we only have a manual gearbox option. However, on the Neo Plus, we can also expect an automatic gearbox option. It could also get the MTT technology for a bit of off-roading capabilities.
Features
The Bolero Neo Plus is going to get features similar to the Bolero Neo. So we can expect features like a 7-inch infotainment system, semi-digital instrument cluster, all power windows, manual day-night IRVM, power mirrors and 12V charging sockets. Safety-wise, we could see six airbags on higher variants, ABS with EBD and ISOFIX anchors. Though not the most feature-loaded car, you will be getting a bigger car at an affordable price.
2024 Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus – Launch and pricing
Considering the ambulance version, Mahindra has the civilian version of Bolero Neo Plus ready in the wings. However, according to reports, Mahindra plans to launch the Neo Plus in the first half of 2024. We can expect a starting price of Rs 13 lakh and going to Rs 16 lakh. It will rival other affordable 7-seaters like Maruti Ertiga, Maruti XL6 and Kia Carens.
