The newest lifestyle off-roader, Jimny, from Maruti Suzuki, has become an immensely popular vehicle in India. The company has launched the five-door version of this SUV in India. However, in the international markets, the company had been selling the three-door version for quite some time now. Recently, a video of a vlogger visiting a Suzuki dealership and comparing his three-door Jimny with the new five-door Jimny has been shared online.

The video of this comparison between the two Jimnys has been shared on YouTube by FE Builds on their channel. It starts off with the presenter first lining up his modified Jimny three-door next to the Jimny five-door. He then mentions that from the outside both cars feature the same design. Both get the same front end and rear end. He adds that the only major difference is on the side profile.

The vlogger in his video shows and mentions that the Jimny three-door gets a smaller wheelbase and length. He highlights that the Jimny three-door ends at the halfway mark of the rear quarter glass of the Jimny five-door. In terms of the exact dimensions, the Jimny five-door measures 3,985 mm in length, while the Jimny three-door measures in at 3,645 mm. There is a considerable difference of 340 mm in the lengths of the two models.

Apart from this, both cars boast the same height and width, measuring 1,720 mm and 1,645 mm respectively. Both cars also get the same ground clearance of 210 mm. However, another major difference is between the wheelbase of the two models. The five-door Jimny offers a wheelbase of around 2,590 mm. Meanwhile, the three-door Jimny offers a wheelbase of around 2,250 mm. The difference between the two is 340 mm.

Next up, the presenter moves to the interior of the five-door Jimny to compare it to his own Jimny three-door. First off, he starts at the rear of the vehicle. He shows that the Jimny five-door rear seats fold down to provide extra luggage space. He adds that, unlike the three-door model, these seats do not fold down completely. The Jimny five-door offers a rear boot capacity of 208 liters, meanwhile, the Jimny three-door offers a boot capacity of merely 85 liters. The difference between the two is 123 liters.

Next up, he adds that the rear roof lights have been shifted from the end to the center in the Jimny five-door. It also gets a small lamp on the rear left side to light up the boot area. Moving on, he shows the completely flat rear of the Jimny three-door. The presenter following this takes a seat inside the Jimny five-door’s rear seat. He mentions that his knees are touching the front seats. However, he adds that this has to do more with his height. He states that the five-door rear seats, just like the three-door model, get two adjustment levels.
