This is not going to be a compact sedan like the Amaze etc, but rather a proper mid-size sedan that will rival the Verna, Virtus & City etc. So which car are we talking about? What do we know so far?
As stated above, the test mule of the Citroen C3X has been spotted testing a fair few times. The Citroen C3X is going to come with a fastback design with high ground clearance giving it a unique identity. It will also be based on the CMP platform like the other C3 derivatives. Sadly from the test mule, it looks like the C3X will come with halogen headlamps. The rear will come with LED tail lamps and a decent enough boot due to the extended coupe characteristics.

The interior of the C3X was recently spotted in testing. It sported a similar interior design to the C3 Aircross with the same 10.2-inch infotainment system. Still, we hope Citroen improves on this aspect as its cars have very poor fit & finish, which is clearly hampering its sales. Nevertheless, other features could include wireless connectivity, tilt-adjustable steering, dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, reverse parking camera, TPMS, remote keyless entry, and a front armrest. Powering the C3X crossover could be the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine that produces 109bhp and 190Nm of torque. The engine can be paired with a manual as well as a torque converter automatic gearbox.
Rs 10 lakh sedan – Launch timeline
Citroen is planning to launch one new car every year. This year, it has launched the C3 EV and also the C3 Aircross. Now according to reports, Citroen will launch the C3 Aircross EV and C3X in 2024. Later on, Citroen is expected to launch the EV version of the C3X. What about the pricing? The pricing of the C3X starts from Rs 10 lakh and goes to Rs 16 lakhs (on-road, Mumbai).
