The Southern states of India, including Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh, have been severely hit by rainfall because of the Michaung cyclone. Many cities, including Chennai, are witnessing floods, because of which people have been forced to move to shelter homes. Recently, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, MK Stalin, was seen visiting one such shelter. The CM arrived at the shelter in an older generation Mahindra Thar, accompanied by his security team, and had conversations with the flood-affected public.

A video showing the arrival of the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, MK Stalin, in an old-gen Mahindra Thar, has been shared on X (formerly Twitter) by Ani. In this 2-minute-long video, the CM can be seen arriving and stepping out of his Mahindra Thar SUV. The video also shows the excitement and cheering from the people in the shelter home. Soon after this, the CM enters the building, which appears to be a primary school.
He was then seen distributing clothes and some essential items to the affected people before talking to them. MK Stalin, after the distribution, goes inside the first classroom where people were sitting on the benches and floors. He then has a few conversations with the people and soon after he leaves.
Mahindra Thar CRDe
As mentioned above, the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister was seen in the older generation of the Mahindra Thar, which came equipped with a CRDe engine. It was and still is one of the most capable off-road vehicles in India, and continuing its legacy, the company has launched the new model. The new Mahindra Thar, as we all know, is also a massive hit, and its popularity does not seem to slow down.
This previous generation of Thar came equipped with a 2.5-liter CRDe turbo diesel engine. This engine was able to produce a maximum of 105 Bhp and 247 Nm of torque. It can be mated to a five-speed manual gearbox and also received a manual 4X4 Borg Warner transfer case. MK Stalin was seen in the facelifted old generation Thar, and this one, in particular, came with an automatically lockable rear differential. On the inside, it received a new steering wheel, a new instrument cluster, a lockable glove box, a 12 V charging socket, and better seats and an AC.
MK Stalin was seen driving his Fiat 1100
Just a few days ago, MK Stalin was seen driving his vintage Fiat 1100 car in Chennai. The CM was surrounded by his convoy of Toyota Innova Crysta MPVs with personal security guards hanging outside. His Silver-colored Fiat 1100 was seen in immaculate condition, and it had an “MER 6172” older registration number plate.
It is believed that MK Stalin has owned this particular car for a long time, and he takes it out on special occasions. Apart from MK Stalin, other popular celebrities that own Fiat 1100 sedans are Veteran Bollywood actors Dharmendra and Jackie Shroff. Dharmendra owns one restored in an Olive Green shade with bronze-colored inserts, while Jackie Shroff owns one finished in a silver color.
