Top 10 selling SUVs in November 2023

The festive season has gone as November comes to an end. India celebrated Diwali while the brands expected a good number of sales. In fact they did well in November but saw a slight drop compared to the sales of October. Today we are talking about the top 10 SUVs in November 2023 in India. Check out the entire list as we have a new SUV in second position!

Top SUVs November 2023 – 10. Hyundai Exter 

Starting with the tenth position in the list of top 10 SUVs in India, we have the newly launched Hyundai Exter. In the month of October the Exter was not even able to make it in the list but has finally entered the list. In November, Hyundai managed to sell 8,324 units of Exter which is slightly more than 8,097 units sold in October. Hyundai launched the Exter to take on the Tata Punch which is currently positioned in the top 3. Hyundai has loaded the Exter with some exclusive features like dashcam with dual cameras, Telematics switches on the IRVM, Bluelink connectivity, Cooled glove box, Ambient sounds of nature, and Home to car (H2C) with Alexa. Powering the Exter is  a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine capable of producing 81bhp and 113.8 NM of torque. Transmission options include an MT and AMT gearbox. CNG is also available that produces 68bhp and 95.2Nm of torque. CNG is only available with a manual gearbox. Pricing-wise, the Exter starts from Rs 7.08 lakh and goes all the way upto Rs 12.11 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

9. Mahindra Bolero

A top SUV list will be incomplete without the Mahindra Bolero. Mahindra sold 9,333 units of the Bolero in November, a slight hike from the 9,647 units sold in October. The Bolero has practically received no updates for the last decade but continues to be one of the best-selling SUVs. Specs-wise, it comes with a 1.5-litre diesel engine capable of producing 75bhp and 210Nm of torque. Pricing-wise, the Bolero starts from Rs 11.70 lakh and goes to Rs 13.10 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). 

Top SUVs November 2023 – 8. Maruti Fronx

Maruti tried to lure customers by bringing a beefed-up version of Baleno. It worked well in October but didn’t receive a strong response in November. In November, Maruti sold 9,867 units of the Fronx, which has dropped from the 11,357 units sold in October. The SUV sold well because of its sporty design which has gained eyeballs from younger audiences. We also have the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine (98bhp/147Nm) and a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol (88bhp/113Nm). Feature-wise, it gets a 9.0-inch floating infotainment system, ARKAMYs sound system, heads-up display, 360-degree camera, six airbags etc. Pricing-wise, the Maruti Fronx starts from Rs 8.66 lakh and goes to Rs 15.37 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). 

7. Hyundai Venue

The Hyundai Venue continues to give good company to the Creta in this list. In November, Hyundai sold 11,180 units of Venue, a slight drop from the 11,581 units sold in October. The Venue comes with ADAS which is a segment first. Other features include a 4-way powered driver seat, an 8.0-inch infotainment system, a fully digital instrument cluster, ambient nature sounds and drive modes. Specs-wise, we have three engine options – a 1.0-litre turbo petrol (118bhp/172Nm), a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol (81bhp/113Nm) and a 1.5-litre diesel (113bhp/250Nm). Pricing-wise, the Venue starts from Rs 9.14 lakh and goes to Rs 16.11 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). 

Top SUVs November 2023 – 6. Kia Seltos

The Seltos remains in 6th position, although the sales have dropped compared to last month. In November, Kia sold 11,684 units of Seltos, which is a drop from 12,362 units sold in October. The Seltos has got a new design in the facelift the SUV received earlier this year. The facelift also brought some new features like a digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control and more. The Seltos comes with three engine options – a 1.5-litre turbo (157bhp/253Nm), a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol (113bhp/144Nm) and a 1.5-litre diesel (114bhp/250Nm). Transmission options include a Mt, iMT, CVT and even a DCT gearbox. Pricing-wise, the Seltos starts from Rs 12.98 lakh and goes to Rs 24.64 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). 

5. Hyundai Creta

Although the facelift is around the corner, it seems people have preferred Creta over the Seltos. Even the Creta has remained in 5th position which shows how much the SUV is loved. In November, Hyundai sold 11,814 units of the Creta, a slight drop from 13,077 units sold in October. Feature-wise, the Creta comes with a 10.25-inch infotainment system, sem-digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof etc. Specs-wise, the Creta comes with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol (113bhp/143Nm) and a 1.5-litre diesel (113bhp/250Nm). Both engines come with manual and automatic gearbox options. Pricing-wise, the Hyundai Creta starts from Rs 12.90 lakh and goes to Rs 23.03 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

Top SUVs November 2023 – 4. Mahindra Scorpio

The Scorpio also makes its presence felt in the top-5. Just to note, the sales number includes the Scorpio N & Scorpio classic. In November, the duo raked in combined sales of 12,185 units, a drop from the 13,578 units sold in October. Mahindra has done a good job of differentiating the two SUVs. The N caters to a modern buyer who needs a feature-loaded, but rugged SUV. On the other hand, the Classic caters to the existing fan base of Scorpio. Pricing-wise, the Scorpio Classic starts from Rs 16.20 lakh and goes to Rs 20.78 lakh (on-road, Mumbai), While the N starts from Rs 15.95 lakh and goes to Rs 29.94 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). 

3. Maruti Brezza

Slotting into the second spot last month, the Maruti Brezza has been pushed to third rank in November. Maruti sold 13,393 units of the Brezza in November which is a major drop from the 16,050 units sold in October. The Brezza comes with the tried and tested 1.5-litre petrol engine capable of producing 101bhp and 136Nm of torque. The Brezza also has a CNG option. Feature-wise, the Brezza comes with a heads-up display, 360-degree camera, 9-inch infotainment system etc. Pricing-wise, the Brezza starts from Rs 9.66 lakh and goes to Rs 16.62 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). 

Top SUVs November 2023 – 2. Tata Punch

Positioned at third spot in October, Tata Punch overtook the Brezza to claim the second spot in November. In November, Tata sold 14,383 units of the Punch, a slight drop from the 15,317 units sold in October. The major USP of Punch is the SUV feel it gives at an affordable price. The engine options it sports are a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine (87bhp/115Nm). We also have a CNG option (72bhp/103Nm). The CNG is Tata’s famed twin-cylinder technology that opens space in the boot. Pricing-wise, the Punch starts from Rs 7.12 lakh and goes to Rs 12.05 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

1. Tata Nexon

Topping the list is none other than the new Tata Nexon. In November, Tata sold 14,916 units of Nexon which is a massive drop from 16,887 units sold in October. In the facelift, Tata solved all the major issues of Nexon from rear design to features. Talking about features, the Nexon comes with a 10.25-inch infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, 9-speaker JBL system, blind view monitor, Harman AudioworX, height adjustable driver and co-driver seat. Under the hood, the Nexon comes with a 1.2-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine. Both engines come with manual options, while petrol gets a DCT automatic and diesel gets an AMT. Pricing-wise, the Nexon starts from Rs 9.55 lakh and goes to Rs 18.72 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
