In the facelift, Tata covered the features aspect too, becoming the most feature-loaded car in this segment. But not for long it seems, because the Sonet facelift is just around the corner. Features

To start with, the new Sonet comes with new features like ADAS, a digital instrument cluster, all-disc brakes, an electric driver seat, traction modes, and a 360-degree camera. Other features like the 10.25-inch infotainment system, Bose sound system, ambient lighting, ventilated front seats, auto-dimming IRVM, and electric sunroof continue on the facelift.  In comparison, the Nexon comes with features like a 360-degree camera, blind view monitor, JBL sound system, 10.25-inch infotainment system, Harman AudioworX, height adjustable driver & co-driver seat, and digital instrument cluster.

It is quite even stevens in this, the Sonet comes with extra features like ADAS, an electric driver seat, traction modes and all disc brakes. The Nexon comes with extra things like sequential turn indicators, Harman AudioworX, blind view monitor, height adjustable driver & co-driver seat and not to forget the 5-star safety rating.

Specifications

The Kia Sonet continues with its 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol (81bhp/115Nm), 1.0-litre turbo petrol (118bhp/172Nm) and 1.5-litre diesel engine (114bhp/250Nm). The only change here is that now the diesel comes with a 6-speed manual gearbox. Also, the big advantage of Sonet over the Nexon is it offers a proper automatic gearbox on its diesel engine. Talking about the Nexon, it comes with a 1.2-litre turbo petrol (118bhp/170Nm) and a 1.5-litre diesel engine (114bhp/250Nm). Transmission options include 5-MT, 6-MT and 7-DCA gearbox on the petrol, while diesel comes with 6-MT and AMT gearbox. 

New Sonet vs Nexon – Pricing

The pricing of the Tata Nexon starts from Rs 9.55 lakh and goes to Rs 18.72 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). On the other hand, the pricing of the Sonet facelift is expected to be revealed in January. Currently, the pricing of Sonet starts from Rs 9.13 lakh and goes to Rs 17.87 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). In the facelift, we could see a price hike of Rs 60k to 70k depending upon the variants.
