From the spy shot we can see the new version of the Maruti WagonR. The spy shot reveals the rear profile of the car without any camouflage. The testing car can be seen with tweaked tail lamps and redesigned rear bumpers. There is a black plastic panel to reduce the visual bulk of the car along with vertically placed reflectors. Now is this a facelift of WagonR? Well, not really as the hatchback received an update just a year ago. Also, we can also speculate the WagonR test car to be an EV version. The WagonR seems to be on cards with Maruti Suzuki and it can be an EV as at least in the photos the tailpipe isn’t visible.

In 2020 and 2021, the WagonR EV was regularly spotted testing around Maruti’s plant in Gurgaon. In 2022, it was spotted but since then nothing. Last year, there were even reports that Maruti had axed the WagonR EV. But this could mean that Maruti has done it for the time being, and it could be developing a new WagonR EV to be launched in future. Now since this mystery spy shot of the WagonR has emerged again online, could the EV version be launched soon?
