Fastest Hyundai car coming soon?

Hyundai as a brand is not particularly known for its sporty cars. The brand has tried to change this image with its N cars that it sells globally. Sadly, in India, we only get the N Line cars that don’t get the crazy performance upgrades. Nevertheless, these N Line cars do feel sportier with their tweaked suspension setup and steering wheel. In its current lineup, the Verna is undoubtedly its most sporty car and it deserves to get the N Line treatment. In today’s article, let’s talk about the fastest Hyundai car.

Verna N Line

Fastest Hyundai car

As stated above, the Verna is the brand’s sportiest car with the i20. The i20 has already got the N Line model, so the Verna also deserves one. With the N Line variant, we can expect red highlights on the exterior. Then we expect an N line specific grille, N Line badging and dual exhausts. We could also see new alloy wheels on this version. What about the interiors? The turbo variant already comes with red highlights, so Hyundai will have to do something different. Barring the highlights, we could see new seat stitching and N Line specific steering wheel & gear lever.

Specifications

The Verna already comes with a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine capable of producing 157bhp and 253Nm of torque. It is already the most powerful engine in its segment. Instead, Hyundai could tune the suspension setup and tweak the steering dynamics. We could also see (actually hear) a sportier exhaust note on the Verna N-Line.

Fastest Hyundai car – Launch timeline

Hyundai is currently occupied with the launch of the Creta facelift, which is going to be unveiled on 16th January 2024. According to rumours, Hyundai is also planning to launch the Creta N Line. What about the Verna N Line? Earlier Hyundai had stated that it plans to launch one new N Line car each year. Sadly, it hasn’t stuck to its promise as we had no N-Line launches this year. To make it up, Hyundai could launch the Creta and Verna N Line next year. Pricing-wise, the Verna N-Line will be around Rs 1 lakh more expensive than the normal Verna. For context, the turbo petrol variants of the Verna start from Rs 17.53 lakh and go to Rs 20.50 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
