Hyundai Creta facelift
The Hyundai Creta facelift is going to be the biggest launch of 2024 and it is happening in the first month of 2024. Hyundai is expected to unveil the car on 16th January and pricing could be revealed in the following months. Like all facelifts, we expect a design overhaul. The Creta is expected to get a new grille and headlamps at the front. From spy shots, it seems to be a mix of the Tucson and Palisade. Other exterior changes could include new LED tail lamps and alloy wheels.
In the interiors, we could see a new dashboard layout with a floating infotainment system. It is also expected to get new features like a 360-degree camera, heads-up display, digital instrument cluster and dual-zone climate control. The Creta facelift is expected to come with a new 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine. It will be joining the current 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol and 1.5-litre diesel. We expect a price hike of Rs 70k to 80k depending upon the variants on the facelift.
Kia Sonet facelift
Recently, Kia unveiled the all-new Sonet in India. The new Sonet comes with a new front design making it look more bold & aggressive than the outgoing model. Other changes in the exterior include new alloy wheels, LED fog lamps, new alloy wheels and connected tail lamps. Kia has also tweaked the interiors with new HVAC controls and upholstery. In terms of new features, we have level-1 ADAS, a digital instrument cluster, cornering lamps, a 360-degree camera, a blind-view monitor, a powered driver seat and more. Under the hood, it continues with the same 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol, 1.0-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine. The only change is that the manual gearbox makes a comeback on the diesel engine. For now, Kia has unveiled the Sonet facelift and it is going to reveal the pricing in January 2024. We expect a price hike of Rs 60k to 80k depending upon the variants.
Upcoming cars January 2024 – Tata Punch EV
Tata is soon going to bring the electrified version of the Punch. It is rumoured to be unveiled on 21st December 2023 and pricing could be revealed in January 2024. The Punch EV could get a connected DRL design like other Tata EVs. We also expect all LED headlamps, LED fog lamps, and different sets of alloy wheels. In the interiors, we can expect blue highlights and new features. The Punch EV is expected to get a 10.25-inch floating infotainment system. Other new features include 6 airbags, a 360-degree camera, all disc brakes and connected car technology. The Punch EV is expected to come with a 26-30kWh battery pack with an expected claimed range of 330km to 350km. It is expected to be priced between Rs 13.5 lakh to Rs 17 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
XUV400 facelift
Mahindra is going to update the XUV300 and XUV400 soon. According to reports, the XUV400 is going to get the update first in January 2024. The XUV400 facelift could come with a new design. We could see bigger DRLs similar to the Born Electric cars of Mahindra. Other exterior changes could include new alloy wheels and connected tail lamps. Also, the XUV400 is expected to get a panoramic sunroof, which will be a segment first. In the interiors, we expect major additions like a new dashboard layout and redesigned HVAC controls. New features could include ventilated seats, ambient lighting, a premium sound system, a 10.25-inch touchscreen, and more. The battery and motor specs should remain the same. With these changes, we can expect a price hike of Rs 80k to 90k depending upon the variants.
Upcoming cars January 2024 – Mercedes GLS
Mercedes is going to launch the facelifted GLS in India in January. It unveiled the car globally in April 2023. The GLS gets minor styling tweaks with new bumpers and tail lamps. The interiors get a major upgrade in the form of a parking package – a 360-degree camera at low speeds standard. We also have new upholstery options that include Catalana Beige and Bahia Brown leather. The MBUX infotainment system gets new graphic styles – Classic, Sport & Discreet along with three modes – Navigation, Assistance and Service. The screen has also been upgraded to show tilt angles and the camera to show obstructions like big rocks etc. The New GLS is going to be launched on 8th January 2024.
