Honda Elevate off-road edition is here!

Honda’s first proper SUV in India has started with a bang in India. Honda has claimed it has sold 20,000 units of the Elevate in the first 100 days. Now like other SUVs in this segment, the Elevate is more of an urban SUV. Now, Honda has revealed an off-road edition of the Elevate. This edition still can’t off-road as it doesn’t come with any off-road tech, but at least it gives the Elevate a menacing look. Honda is going to unveil the Elevate as WR-V at the “Tokyo Auto Salon”. Along with that, the brand is also going to showcase a more rugged version of the WR-V/Elevate. It is calling this version the Field Explorer concept. In the edition, we have a slightly different grille with a big black element in the middle. The blacked-out headlamps give the car a menacing look. The yellow-coloured elements add to the off-road vibe. In the side profile, you get blacked-out alloy wheels and rugged side skirts. There are also roof rails for the added visual appeal. Though Honda didn’t reveal the rear, we expect blacked-out tail lamps.

As stated above, Elevate has started on a bright note with the customers. As a product, Elevate’s massive road presence is a big plus point. Though it is not the most feature-loaded car in the segment, it comes with all the necessary ones like a big infotainment system, semi-digital instrument cluster, wireless charging, lane watch camera, connected car technology and more. Under the hood, we have the tried and tested 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine capable of producing 119bhp and 145Nm of torque. Pricing of the Elevate starts from Rs and goes to Rs (on-road, Mumbai).
