New 7-Seater SUV – Bookings Open

Finally, Jeep India has commenced the booking of the new Meridian SUV. If you are interested in buying one, you can visit Jeep India official website and book your new SUV. Talking about the booking amount, you can book the Meridian facelift for Rs 50,000. Apart from the bookings, Jeep has also mentioned a few key features the new Meridian is said to come equipped with.

What’s New?

With a facelift, Jeep Meridian will come with a lot of new features. Among all, it is the ADAS which for the first time will be offered in Meridian. Other than that, 10.1-inch touchscreen system & 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster will be carried from the current model. However, we can expect an improvement in the UI & overall screen quality. The other welcome change will be the option for a 5-seater version for the Meridian. The SUV is currently a 7-seater model but the brand is now considering bringing a 5-seater model. Will this help the brand to price the SUV more aggressively?

New 7-Seater SUV – Other Details

Rest, there are no mechanical changes for the Meridian facelift. The SUV will continue to get the same 2.0-litre diesel engine (168 bhp & 350 Nm) mated to a 6-speed manual & 8-speed automatic transmission. And yes, the SUV will continue offering an option for 4X4 variant.

Now, talking about the pricing, we are expecting the new Jeep Meridian should start from Rs 35 lakh (on-road, Mumbai) for the 5-seater variant. Whereas the pricing could go all the way up to Rs 48 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). So with such aggressive pricing, the Meridian will be competing with higher variants of the Innova Hycross. The bookings have been started & the launch is expected before the festive season of Diwali!
