New VW Polo – Skoda Kylaq 1.5

Yes, it will be the upcoming Skoda Kylaq which could be the best successor of the Polo hatchback. Now, why do Indians love Polo so much? Firstly, it is a German engineered car with beautiful handling. The other reason is the outright performance the Polo offered. And finally, the affordable pricing of such a popular car! Skoda have confirmed that the Kylaq will be offered with the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine. However, sources tell us that Skoda might consider launching a limited edition of Kylaq with the 1.5-litre TSI petrol engine under its hood! The 1.5-litre TSI is a powerful unit which produces 148 bhp & 270 Nm torque. With this engine, we can expect manual & DSG gearbox options. But why is this such an interesting combination? Well, having a powerful unit in a relatively small SUV in itself is a crazy offering. And yes, Skoda might play with suspension to handle all the power. That said, it is still a possibility which Skoda might consider in the near future.

Rest, the new Kylaq SUV is set for a global debut on 16th of November 2024. The Kylaq will be the cheapest SUV from Skoda that will rival the likes of Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 3XO & others. Talking about the product, the Kylaq is expected to be a feature loaded SUV. Additionally, we are expecting the true Skoda touches inside the Kylaq.
