New Skoda Kylaq
Soon, Skoda will launch its first product in the sub-4 metre compact SUV segment – the Skoda Kylaq. The SUV will be based on the same platform which also underpins the Kushaq & the Slavia. The company has revealed the dimensions of the Kylaq which hints at better cabin space. Talking about the dimensions, the Kylaq measures 3,995 mm in length, which is similar to other products. However, the SUV is said to have a wheelbase of 2,556 mm – better than all other SUVs except XUV 3XO. The Kylaq will have a 50 mm longer wheelbase than the competition while it falls 50 mm shorter than the XUV 3XO. So although not the most spacious, Skoda Kylaq could be the second most spacious in the segment. Also, the brand has revealed that Kylaq will have segment best boot space!

What Else?
Apart from the spacious cabin, we expect the Kylaq to offer one of the most practical cabins. Being a Skoda product, the Kylaq could get Skoda’s simply clever features. These features are no gimmick & do add a sense of practicality. Also, we expect the Kylaq to come with the best in segment fit & finish of the interior. The Kylaq will be offered with a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine (115 bhp & 178 Nm) and will be mated with manual & automatic gearboxes.

Talking about the launch, Skoda will unveil the Kylaq on 6th of November 2024. Whereas the launch is expected to happen in January 2025. Pricing-wise, the Kylaq could be an affordable offering from Skoda. So expect an estimated price between Rs 8 lakh & Rs 15 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
