As the Innova is affected by the waiting period, you can now buy Innova based MPV, Maruti Invicto. The Invicto is the best alternative to the Toyota Innova Hycross. The Maruti Invicto has a lower to none waiting period as compared to the Innova Hycross.

Additionally, the MPV based on Innova is substantially lower in cost. Currently the Toyota Innova Hycross has an asking price of Rs 31.46 lakh (on-road, Mumbai) while the Maruti Invicto has a base price of Rs 29.76 lakh (on-road, Mumbai) making a difference of around Rs 1.8 lakh. Moreover, Maruti has also announced benefits of up to Rs 1.25 lakh on the Invicto to make it 3 lakh cheaper than the Toyota Innova.

Apart from the monetary benefits and waiting duration, the Maruti hybrid MPV has similar spacious interiors as the Toyota Innova. Talking about the powertrain, Maruti Invicto is equipped with the same 2.0-litre engine along with Toyota’s hybrid tech. With combined power the MPV is capable of producing 184 bhp and 209 Nm of peak torque. Maruti Invicto has an ARAI claimed range of around 24 kmpl.

Feature-wise, Maruti Invicto misses out some features from Innova Hycross but still gets good features like a panoramic sunroof, 10.1-inch touchscreen system, 7-inch digital instrument cluster, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, powered seats and tailgate, 2nd row captain seats, automatic climate control, dedicated ac vents for rear rows, ambient lighting and more in its package.
