Skoda Kodiaq Launch – What’s New
As Skoda is planning to launch the new gen Kodiaq in the country by mid 2025. The brand is now seen testing the RS version of the model. Talking about the spy shots, the RS version gets a specific treatment like the RS badging on the grill, connected tail lamps and chrome exhaust pipes among others, which are expected to come with the new gen Skoda Kodiaq regular version.
While only the exteriors of the Kodiaq RS were spotted, we can expect a similar interior along with RS badging in the headrests, contrast-coloured seat belts and some RS-specific changes to the instrument cluster. But will the Skoda Kodiaq RS arrive in the country?
Well, Skoda has just planned to launch the new Kylaq and Kodiaq in the country by 2025. Additionally, the brand has not announced about the upcoming RS version in the country. With demand for powerful Skoda cars increasing, we hope Skoda will get this version some time after its global launch. Moreover it is expected the Kodiaq RS to be sold in limited units in India.

What Else?
Talking about the new gen Skoda Kodaiq, the brand will continue to offer the new Kodiaq with the 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine. This unit is rated for 190 bhp and 320 Nm of peak torque mated to a 7-speed DSG gearbox. The model will continue to offer a selectable 4X4 system. According to the industry rumors, the brand is also planning to do a limited run of diesel engine models if demand exists in the Indian market.
While Skoda has delayed the India launch of the new gen Kodiaq, it is now confirmed that the new model will make its way to the country by mid-2025. Additionally the model will be offered as a CKD unit, so we can expect the pricing for the new model to start from Rs 47 lakh and extend all the way up to Rs 52 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
