Recently Launched Japanese SUV In Big Trouble!

Nissan recently launched the new Magnite in the country at a very competitive pricing. Now just after its launch, the Japanese automaker is expected to face stiff competition from the upcoming Skoda Kylaq. Magnite is the sole product helping Nissan sustain in the country, will the Kylaq kill its excitement?

Will Skoda Kylaq Be Better Than Nissan Magnite?

As we all know now, Skoda has confirmed the global unveiling of its upcoming C-SUV, Kylaq on 6 November. Once launched it will directly take on the Nissan Magnite in the market. Talking about the differences, the first thing will be the dimensions, the Skoda Kylaq SUV will be having a larger dimension than the Nissan Magnite along with a greater wheelbase to offer more comfort for the passengers. Skoda Kylaq will also be offering more premium and extra convenience features compared to the new Magnite. Some premium features on the Kylaq include an electric sunroof, ventilated seats, 360-degree camera, and powered seats among others. While Nissan has updated its Magnite, it still misses out on some popular features like a sunroof and powered seats, which makes Kylaq stand out from the competition.

Additionally, even though the Japanese manufacturer has not left a hinge behind designing the new model, the plastic quality on the Skoda is expected to be better than the Magnite. Pricing-wise, Nissan announced a jaw-dropping pricing for its Magnite matching its older version, Skoda has also promised to offer the new SUV with a fair competitive pricing. We expect the new Skoda Kylaq to be priced between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 15 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

What Else?

As we have discussed everything about the upcoming Kylaq by now. One of the major concerns these days is the safety of the new model. The new model will be underpinned by the MQB A0 IN platform currently underpinned by the Kushaq & Slavia which have secured a 5-star safety rating. So, we expect the Skoda Kylaq to be as safe as its siblings. More details regarding the upcoming Skoda Kylaq will be revealed in the coming time.

Powertrain-wise, the Kylaq will be offered with the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine. However, sources tell us that Skoda might consider launching a limited edition of Kylaq with the 1.5-litre TSI petrol engine under its hood making it more powerful than its other competitors in the market. Talking about its launch in the country, currently Skoda Kylaq will be globally unveiled on November 6, so expect the new model to arrive in the country by early 2025.
