The list of upcoming cars is long as we have more new models to arrive before the end of this year! In fact, in November 2024, we will have the launches of two exciting cars from Maruti & Honda. Both these cars rival each other & it is now the time for their facelifts to arrive. We are talking about the new Maruti Dzire & new Honda Amaze! Interestingly, both will be Rs 9 Lakh Cars – the hot selling segment! So, what all to expect from these two sedans?

Rs 9 Lakh Cars – New Maruti Dzire
The only sedan which has been consistent in sales is the Maruti Dzire. The current model was first launched in 2016 & now is all set to come with major upgrades. We already expected new changes like new exterior, new interior & updated features list. In fact we recently spotted the uncovered Dzire while it was getting tested. The spy shots revealed a completely new design of the Dzire. The car was spotted with a new front design which seems to get a more upright bonnet. Other new elements include – new headlamps & tail lamps, new bumpers, & new alloy wheels. And yes, the new Dzire does not mimic the design of the recently launched Swift as Maruti is planning to offer the Dzire as a more premium product.

What will be shared with the recent Swift facelift is the interior. The new Dzire is expected to come with a similar dashboard layout as seen on the new Swift. It is a multi-layered dashboard design which is in line with other new Maruti cars. However, we can expect premium materials for the Dzire. Firstly, the Dzire could get a lighter interior theme unlike the all black in the new Swift. And yes, it could also get leather seat upholstery on the top models. Other new expected features include blind spot monitoring system, ventilated seats, sunroof and more!
Other Details
With all the cosmetic upgrades, the new Dzire is also set to come with a new 1.2-litre petrol engine. Why new? Well, it is the new 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine. This unit now produces 80 bhp & 112 Nm of torque. This engine is down by 1-cylinder & 9 bhp. That said, this engine will be mated with manual & AMT gearbox.

Honda Amaze
The other popular sedan of the segment is the Honda Amaze. It is the prime rival of the Maruti Dzire & the Amaze too will receive a significant update. Unfortunately, the new Amaze was spotted just once while being tested in India. However, we are expecting multiple changes to the car. On the outside, the Amaze could get design elements from other expensive Honda cars. We expect the sedan to get front grille design & headlamps design inspired from other Honda cars. The side profile will probably remain the same but we can see a new alloy wheel design. At the rear, changes could be made to the tail lamps & the bumpers.

On the inside, the Amaze facelift will likely come with an entirely new cabin! For a refreshed experience, the Amaze could get new dashboard design. Also, the facelift could bring many new features to the Honda sedan. Under the hood, the story is likely to remain unchanged. The facelift model will probably continue with the same 1.2-litre NA petrol engine (89 bhp & 110 Nm). It gets a manual transmission & CVT for automatic variants. But, when will the launch happen? Well, it is expected that Honda might launch the Amaze in November 2024!
