Hyundai Alcazar Base Prestige variant: What all does it offer

Hyundai is India’s second largest car manufacturer and they recently launched their first 6 or 7 seater SUV Alcazar in Indian market. The Alcazar is based on current generation Hyundai Creta that got launched in the market last year. It is a lot more premium looking SUV in terms of looks and features when compared with Creta. Hyundai Alcazar competes with cars like MG Hector Plus and Tata Safari in the segment. Hyundai has launched Alcazar in Prestige, Platinum and Signature trims. Prestige is the base variant which is available with 6 and 7 seater option in both petrol and diesel engine options with MT. Here we have a video that shows what all does the Prestige variant of Hyundai Alcazar offer.

The video has been uploaded by Car Duniya on their YouTube channel. The Prestige variant of Hyundai Alcazar is priced at Rs 16.30 lakh, ex-showroom. In terms of looks, one might find it difficult to differentiate Prestige from other variants. The Prestige variant gets large front grille with dark chrome elements in it. Even the Prestige is offered with tri-beam LED headlamps, boomerang shaped LED DRLs, LED fog lamps and turn indicators on the lower part of the bumper.

The bumper also gets silver coloured skid plate. It also gets 17 inch alloy dual tone alloy wheels and there is a silver finished silver lower body cladding. The silver lightning arc in Creta receives a gloss black treatment in Alcazar. The door handles are body coloured with dark chrome garnish on it. It also offers roof rails, LED tail lamps with dark chrome applique with Alcazar badging on it. The rear bumper also gets silver skid plate and the twin exhaust tips are also seen in this variant.

Prestige variant offers keyless entry and the theme of the cabin remains the same as higher versions. The only difference is that the higher variants offer leather seats while the lower version gets fabric seats. The seats are not electrically adjustable. The brown and black theme of the cabin is however retained. it continues to offer brown coloured plastic elements on door and dashboard.

Hyundai Alcazar Prestige version offers push button start, Leather wrapped steering wheel, ambient lighting, cruise control, remote engine start, wireless phone charger at the front, panoramic sunroof that can be controlled using voice commands, automatic climate control, wireless charger for rear passenger in 6-seater version, digital instrument cluster, 10.25 inch touchscreen infotainment screen, Blue Link connected car features, cooled glove box and so on.

Although, Hyundai calls it a base variant, it is actually not that basic when it comes to the features and that could be a reason why it is priced in such a manner. Hyundai Alcazar is available with both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol engine is a 2.0 litre naturally aspirated engine that generates 159 Ps and 191 Nm of peak torque. The diesel engine with the Alcazar is a 1.5 litre turbo diesel engine that generates 115 Ps and 250 Nm of peak torque. Both engine options are available with manual and automatic transmission option however the base Prestige variant is available with a manual gearbox only.
